The Jansen HS-20H110-V2 is a 20-tonne hydraulic log splitter for logs up to 110 cm long, powered by a 6.5 HP Kohler petrol engine. The model is built to EN 609:2017, the European safety standard written specifically for log splitters.
What it is for
The machine is designed for splitting long firewood on farms and in the forest, with no mains power needed. The engine starts with a recoil starter, also in frost. The hydraulics stop the wedge in any position and let you pull it back at any moment, without waiting for a full return. Splitting force is measured directly at the wedge. Under EN 609:2017 the splitter works with a single splitting wedge: cross wedges and multiple wedges are not allowed in the EU. The splitter is towed by its hitch and, at about 118 cm wide, fits on an ordinary trailer. Towing behind a car on public roads is not allowed; towing behind a farm or forestry tractor is possible if traffic rules are met.
- Splitting force: 20 t (measured value)
- Engine: 4-stroke OHV, 6.5 HP (4.8 kW), petrol, 3.6 l tank, approx. 1.0–1.2 l/h
