The Jansen HS-20DS63K is a double-acting horizontal hydraulic log splitter with a combi drive: a Kohler petrol engine or a 400 V electric motor. It splits in both directions of the ram stroke, 20 tonnes forward and 17 tonnes back, so there is no idle return stroke.
One machine for the forest and the yard
You choose the drive to suit the place. At a woodpile in the forest or in a field, the recoil-start petrol engine does the work. In a shed or a yard with a three-phase socket, just plug in the cable and work more quietly, without exhaust fumes. The parts needed for switching over are included. The horizontal design keeps the wood at working height, and a full forward stroke takes about 7 seconds. A splitting wedge and a four-way wedge, both 20 cm long, are supplied.
- Splitting force: 20 t / 17 t (measured values)
- Petrol engine: Kohler OHV, 6.5 HP (4.8 kW), 3.6 l tank, approx. 1.0–1.2 l/h
- Electric motor: 400 V, 2.2 kW, 16 A fuse
- Max. log length: 60 cm
- Hydraulics: 240 bar, 38.6 l/min, approx. 15 l HLP46 oil
- Wheels: 10 inch
- Dimensions: 228 x 102 x 100 cm, approx. 180 kg without fluids
Final assembly takes 4–5 hours; a manual with drawings is included. The petrol-only version and other models are in hydraulic log splitters and JANSEN equipment.
Please note
- The machine is delivered well packed and partly assembled in a wooden crate.
- Assembly is not difficult. The manual is in German.
- Before first use, fill in approx. 15 l of HLP46 hydraulic oil.
- Before first use, fill the engine with approx. 1 l of 10W40 or 15W40 engine oil.
